Family Support Service (FSS) & Training Programs
Family / Parenting, Mental Health - Adult, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Services for Youth
Provided by Hollyburn Family Services & NARSF Programs
Family Support Offered:
- Parent training, education and skills development to promote more cooperative behaviors from children
- Creating strategies for limiting screen time, addressing poor school attendance/performance, sibling conflict, and peer struggles
- Helping parents to network and collaborate with schools, health services, and other community services to increase support for their children and teens
- Families with children under the age of 19 may access short-term, publicly funded (free) support. This includes group and individual services, as well as specialized parent-teen mediation, over 8-12 sessions.
- All families who live on the North Shore may also access longer-term, affordable options.
- Family programs are available for all families who live on the North Shore, and can be delivered in the family home, in the community, at the office, or online. Hours of service are flexible, and include evenings.
- Individuals can call Central Intake at 604-987-1411, leave their contact information, and request a referral into the Family Support Program
