Eating Disorders Program - Nanaimo

The Eating Disorders Program is an open community referral service for children and youth with eating disorders, and their families, but who do not have a diagnosis.
The Eating Disorders Program offers compassionate counselling services tailored for children and youth aged 6 - 18 years old who are affected by disordered eating in the Nanaimo and Ladysmith area. Using a supportive, strength-based approach, NARSF collaborates with children, youth, families, and service providers to promote lasting well-being.

Services Goals
  • Foster stronger, healthier family relationships
  • Provide empathetic counselling and guidance
  • Restore and maintain healthy eating habits
  • Boost self-esteem and encourage a positive body image
Cost & How to Access:
  • This is a free and confidential service offered with funding from the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD)
  • EDP is accessed through self-referral by calling 250-754-2773 ext, 0102 or completing the online form, OR through formal referral agents such as the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH), School District 68 and other community service providers.
