Caregiver Support, Mental Health - Adult & Senior, and Seniors Services
Provided by People for a Healthy Community on Gabriola Society (PHC)
Provides emotional support and educational services to caregivers.
To those who provide unpaid care and support to family and friends who are elderly, in poor health, have a disability or other age related challenges, and to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, PHC offers:
- ​Free one-on-one emotional support
- Bi-weekly caregiver support groups with a focus on developing a personal toolkit for building resilience and increasing a sense of community
- Help with navigating the health care system
- Access to educational webinars, workshops and online modules
- Access to bereavement groups when needed
