Enhanced Collaborative Care Service - Mental Health & Substance Use Specialist Advice & Consultation Service for Primary Care Providers

One-time consultations to provide primary healthcare providers with one full consultation that will include patient recommendations and a psychiatrist contact number for future communication around that case.
Enhanced Collaborative Care Services will provide primary healthcare providers with one full consultation that will include patient recommendations, and a psychiatrist contact number for future communication around that case. Please Note: MHSU Intake may use its discretion to decide whether a patient is served best by the one-time consultation and telephone consultation availability service. Intake will try to match the provider request with a psychiatrist who has a special interest or expertise relating to the patient's situation, if possible.

Service Provides
  • One-time non-urgent consultations for primary healthcare providers, with ongoing specialist availability by telephone
  • Enhanced skills training for primary healthcare providers

To Access the one-time consultation and telephone consultation availability, provider must make a referral by fax to Mental Health and Substance Use Services (MHSU) Intake.

Advice response time: 1-2 weeks.
